Its fine. This game's pace feels way too slow for a rouge-like environment, compared to games like Isaac or dead estate where your character's speed is reasonably fast and the wait time between rooms is fast enough to fit its tone, but not to a point where you cant read the room. I think isaac does this well by giving you breathing room and time to visualize what you're up against before fighting.

Another issue I have is that the character almost seems too big for a rouge-like/bullet-hell environment. Not big as in visually, but I assume internally with hitboxes. There have been times where I wanted to dodge bullets by going in-between 2 bullets coming my way, but in opposite directions, but for whatever reason I got hit anyway. Being able to dodge bullets like this is something people naturally expect from a bullet hell game, or, well, any game with projectiles!

One last issue I have is with the boss. With the game's closed-in environment, and the bosses big projectiles and fast fire-rate, it makes it really unfair to beat. Not impossible, just very irritating. The game up till this point is pretty tame and I doubt this difficulty spike is intentional. This works with Isaac because the bosses' projectiles are usually small and isaac is overall more fair with these kinds of stuff. And if its not that, the boss arena is usually huge.

I've never had any problems with any of the enemies, though I feel like you should re-work the red guy that puts up shields blocking you from passing. In certain room seeds, he could block you at the entrance, making it impossible to do anything, for a short while at least. Personally, I'd make the walls destructible.

I 100% know that this is not suppose to be an actual serious game, and I really like games that have dev-logs, cause they're really interesting to watch. But I feel like if you were to give this game a bit more polish, these are the things you could take into account, if you plan on doing anything with this by now anyway.

I had a casual fun time playing this game though, I like rouges and bullet hells with upgrades to feed dopamine into my brain. Keep on game developing, dude!

I'd like to come back and work on this one later and make it something more substantial. Right now I hope it's at least a nice snack of a game, and one day it might be a full meal. 😅
